The seeds of inspiration
Nature’s Data began with a search for ways to reduce and offset CO2. Shaun, our tenacious founder, decided he would plant a million trees. Once he stumbled upon the miracles of hemp, he realised that this was the plant of the future.
He never looked back. Hemp’s ability to sequester and indefinitely store CO2 (a capacity greater even than trees); its infinite uses as eco-friendly alternatives for everything from nappies to homes; the way it detoxifies and restores the soil as it grows.
Shaun decided to combine his decades of expertise as a data specialist with his love for the planet. The result: Nature’s Data.

We’re a startup driven by a passion for using data for good and a desire to champion environmental solutions.
Visiting hemp farms across the UK and speaking to countless farmers, we discovered most farmers struggle when it comes to data. Whether that’s not understanding the technology out there, or having lots of different pieces of tech – some old, some new – that don’t work together or communicate with each other. Our mission? Simply put, to use data to enable farmers to grow more hemp, better, and make more effective, informed decisions on their farms.
